Intel losing on to AMD?

Offlate I hear lot of noises about Intel changing strategy towards dual core processor making instead of its power hungry high clocked pentium versions. Intel scrapped their projects of clocking more than 4GHz and said they are letting out a 3.8 GHz P4 which will be its last in the line of high clocking desktop processor versions for an indefinite time. AMD is a pioneer in this dual core processor section. I like AMD more than their Intel counterparts more for the reason that my 4 yr old 450MHz machine is an AMD one and still rocks. And other reason like low cost adds to my passion towards AMD. I somehow feel WINTEL on the whole is losing "some" of its share to LIN-AMD.
